Brázik Csaba – Hungary
After 10 years spent with practicing kyokushin karate, I got connected to equestrian archery.
I first met equestrian archery back at 2001, through the book of Master Kassai. I was hugely impressed by what I read in the book. Soon after, I managed to buy a plot of land, a horse and a bow and I started practicing horseback archery by myself. I didn’t know Kassai Lajos back at the time personally, so I tried to carry out the trainings using what I read in the book. Meanwhile, a couple of people joined me, so we wrote a letter to the Master.
Kassai Lajos invited me to the Valley for a short training camp. I was so much impressed by his personality, the School, and the trainings, that I knew, this is going to be my way of life. The previous years spent with sport and martial arts, provided me with a very good base to be able to distinguish the Kassai Equestrian Archery from the other horseback archery communities. The community of the Kassai Equestrian Archery School, and the thoroughly laid out rules of both the competitions and the exams indicate, that a very seriously based Hungarian martial art has been established and controlled by a person, who is considered by myself, and by every decent person the Master, the example to follow.
I took part in my first competition back at 2005, and in 2007, tribe Brazik of the Kassai Equestrian Archery School was established. The number of tribe members is constantly increasing through the years, but in line with what I learned in the valley, and also according to my own intention, I tried to sustain the quality of the trainings on a high level, and I also made sure that the acceptance of the new tribe members is compliant with strict conditions. Thanks to this, I am the leader of a very good equestrian archery community today.
