I wanted to work with horses from my early years, that’s how it became my profession. From the courtesy of my first master Balassa János (the descendant of Konstantin Balassa who was a trainer in the military, in the field of the gentle training of the horses) I could learn the Hungarian horse focused attitude, which has a 1000 year old tradition.
Currently me and my family are working in the field of horse-breeding, the training of working horses and with the rehabilitation of horses that have problems with the man. We are trying to keep our horses as close to the natural circumstances as possible in our farm that is more than sixty acres.
I found tons of contradictions in the horse related professions of the 20th century and in my search for the right methods I came across the equestrian culture of the steppe. That strong relation between horse and man give answer to a lot of questions. In my teenage years I was learning archery from Fuchs Péter (field archer), that foreshadowed my meeting with Kassai Lajos. He gave me a bow and told me to sit on a horse and shoot. This bow of mine is 25 years old and still serves well. In the past two decades I have been on loads of traditional events and horsebackarcher competitons. On most occasions  I was the one who gave the others well trained horsebackarcher horses and done the background work.
In my opinion, in horsebackarchery the most important is the harmony of the horse, the bow and the archer. However I saw it clearly that without appropriate, integrated, professional guidelines some will hurt the horses with their purposeless attempts whereas working in a tested system, which was proved in the last three decades will lead to more reassuring result. As a Hungarian there was no doubt in me about the respectful acceptance of the help and opportunity that Lajos gave me. Our Kassai Original System track inauguration was in the spring of 2019. I have been working as an international judge since that.
