My name is Budai István, I am 49 years old and live in Biatorbágy, Hungary.
I’ve been involved in martial arts for 39 years, and regulary participated in competitions and foreign championships. I founded my association of martial arts in 1997, I am the headmaster of it since the foundation. We started our martial arts school in Biatorbágy 16 years ago, and for 6 years we started the horseback archery.
The association has 78 members on Wing-Chun, Seven Star Praying Mantis, Yang Style Tajiquan and Muay Thai styles. We have trained many competitiors and many of them has prestigious awards like multiple National Champion. We are working to maintain that standard of our schools.
I met Kassai Lajos on a horseback archer tutorial in Pápa, 2004. After that I thought I would like to get to know this new style for me.
I’ve liked horse riding since my childhood so i was interested in how can I do some kind of martial arts by combining with horse riding.
I was started standard archery trainings in 2005, and tried to synchronized with the horse on my own.
Met some horseback archers in my neighbourhood, but at time I can’t learn anymore from them. Finally I get contact with Kassai Lajos, and he helped me with pleasure.
In Kassai Valley I learned the training methods, the structure of his style, and I could get some private lessons too. This time I could experiment how accurate his system, which is very important in martial arts. Lajos’s system is learnable and also teachable, easily interpretable. Lajos has professionaly supported me nowadays. The result of our joint work, that we can order our first trial competition on 19 September 2019, in our newly inaurugated track and after that the first horseback archery competition in Biatorbágy and get my international judge license.
